When you go on vacation do you rent a car? I ask this questions because when I was in Phoenix in December I did rent a car. I had an excellent rate for the car rental. However the rental insurance was double the cost of the car. I believe that it was around $40 per day for full coverage. Have you had this happen.
There are a few ways that you can rent a car and not have such a steep insurance bill. First ask your car insurance company if car rentals are covered under your policy, also ask what is covered, any deductibles, any advise they wish to give. The second option would be when purchasing your travel insurance add the car rental coverage. I met with my travel insurance sales rep this week and their add on is only $7.00 per day. Always do your research and know what your costs could be should a mishap happen.

Do you have a bucket list? What do you have on it? Africa, New Zealand, Europe, Bali...... What is yours? Are you contemplating international travel? If you are the US Government is going to change the passport to a passbook with 52 pages. I don't know about you but to me that means the price for passports maybe going up.
You may ask what this has to do with your bucket list. Why not start preparing now and get your passports. Then you will be prepared to work on your for the next 9 1/2 years. |
