Should you travel?

With the tragedy that happened in Paris again you see the question of  "Should I travel?".
This question has been on my mind this week as I finalize our travel reservations to Germany.  The world of today has been present in my mind through the entire process of designing a trip that is both educational and interesting to all.  Also keeping all of us as safe as possible.

How am I trying to keep us safe?  The travel insurance that I confirmed for this trip is through Roam Right, they offer an app for your phone that you can take pictures of your documents (good idea include credit cards, passport & medications) along with an alert map.  This will come in handy to see what is going on in the world.  We also advised STEP (Smart Traveler Enrollment Program) with the state department.  Which advises the US Government where we are should something happen.

I will be traveling with my children (18 & 21).  We will be flying into Munich and out of Berlin.  During the 8 days of extensive travel we will visit:  Munich, Fussen, Rothenberg, Rudesheim, and Berlin.  See what happens when you do not want to assist in the planning!  Unfortunately for them they have not seen the schedule as of yet!

To get from Munich to Berlin we purchased German Rail Passes.   DB Bahn will be a sight that I will be on quite a bit in the next week.  To get where we want to go some of the trains have a very short connections.  Like 3 minutes!   I will let you know how it works out.

Most of the accommodations were chosen with the train stations in mind.  Maybe it has something to do with the 7:00 AM trains that we will be taking to reach the next city.

Have a great week and look for updates on our journey.

Tree House:

This is the way that I remember a tree house when I grew up.  A few boards in the tree to make a platform.  There was even a time when we just climbed the tree and sat for hours gazing at the world.  One of my brothers was in trouble so he went out and sat in the tree for hours.  My mother was so worried that she called the police to help her search for him. There he was watching the activities below and wondering what was going on.

Oh so many memories in that tree house.  How about you do you have wonderful tree house memories?

Do you remember the joy you had to be sitting up in the tree watching the world go by?
Kind of like a bird's eye view of how they saw the world.  How many of you have been in a tree lately?  Have you climbed up and just sat at peace?  Of coarse a few years ago I climbed a tree to go zip lining through the Mango trees, it had stairs so much easier.

Those days are gone and new tree houses have replaced them.  Even the children in the neighborhood have upgraded tree houses.  However don't think you have to give up the chance to relive that wonderful memory of your youth.
Imagine staying at the top of the trees looking out like the birds.  No worries a great bed, coffee, bottle of wine in the evening and a nice chair.  Ok so I do enjoy my comforts, why give them up!  You still enjoy listening to world around you, seeing the birds and watching the as you did so many years ago.

Can you imagine yourself here watching the sunrise?    You could pretend to be
Robinson Crusoe a castaway who spent thirty years on a remote tropical island in the Caribbean,  who encountered cannibals, and mutineers before being rescued.  Do you remember it?

Ok so you are not
Robinson Crusoe but can you imagine it?

No this is a Tree House!
Stop imagining and start living!  This amazing property is near Portsmouth, Dominica, in the Caribbean.  Who said you had to rough it!  Of course you can if you want.

You have a kitchen that you can make an amazing dinner at or even better you could have the personalized cooking service will come to you.  There is a cost for this service but what could be better?

A real comfortable bed and you don't have to bath in the ocean!
If the Caribbean life is not for you what about the rain forest?  Would you prefer to be the Medicine Man looking for the cure for some disease in the Jungle.  That is possible also in Costa Rica.

There are so many unique experiences that you can enjoy reliving your childhood or the fantasy of the books that we read as a youths.  Let us help you find that dream that you once had!

There are so many types of adventures out there for people to explore and enjoy!  Not all adventures have to be life threaten or exhausting.  What is your adventure?
