When you go on vacation do you rent a car? I ask this questions because when I was in Phoenix in December I did rent a car. I had an excellent rate for the car rental. However the rental insurance was double the cost of the car. I believe that it was around $40 per day for full coverage. Have you had this happen.
There are a few ways that you can rent a car and not have such a steep insurance bill. First ask your car insurance company if car rentals are covered under your policy, also ask what is covered, any deductibles, any advise they wish to give. The second option would be when purchasing your travel insurance add the car rental coverage. I met with my travel insurance sales rep this week and their add on is only $7.00 per day.
Always do your research and know what your costs could be should a mishap happen.
Do you have a bucket list? What do you have on it? Africa, New Zealand, Europe, Bali...... What is yours? Are you contemplating international travel? If you are the US Government is going to change the passport to a passbook with 52 pages. I don't know about you but to me that means the price for passports maybe going up.
You may ask what this has to do with your bucket list. Why not start preparing now and get your passports. Then you will be prepared to work on your for the next 9 1/2 years.
On a very hot day would you repel down a waterfall? However before you can repel down the waterfall you must climb up the path. #Colombian bike junkies in San Gill can assist with so many different adventures.

I did make it almost to the landing before heading back to the bottom.
When I was in Colombia my dear friend did. Dana passed on her photos and videos for all of you to enjoy.
Warning: when you are traveling and someone gives you advise. Take it! While on the plane from Miami to Bogota the gentleman next to me advised me to take it easy in Bogota. Bogota is 8660 ft above sea level. (Quito and La Paz 12,400 ft are higher and Denver's height is 5380 ft above sea level)
The reason that I am pointing this out is that there is such a thing as High Altitude sickness. Symptoms would be like an alcohol hangover: headache is the cardinal symptom, sometimes accompanied by fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea, and occasionally vomiting. Headache onset is usually 2–12 hours after arrival at a higher altitude and often during or after the first night. Preverbal children may develop loss of appetite, irritability, and pallor. AMS generally resolves with 24–72 hours of acclimatization.
Should you have these symptom please take it seriously. Having been to an amazing place and thought nothing because I had been to Denver and had no issues did not. I was sick from Wednesday to Saturday when I left Bogota. Not thinking anything of it. Three weeks after return home to Madison I still was not feeling well. I went to the Doctor who information me that I had such an acute case that I will need to take Medication should I go again. It was such good news because I truly felt that I had some serious issues. But on the other side to know that the beauty of the mountains now have to be looked at in a different way.
Will it stop me from exploring the beauty that surrounds us. Know but I will be more cautious in the future!
