Coffee Tree

When I was growing up I remembered a coffee commercial with Juan Valdez and for Coffee.  So you guessed it I automatically think of one of my favorite things.  COFFEE!!!!!  How many of you remember the commercial.  Ok, so I have to be honest.  I remember Juan with his donkey that had bags of coffee on his back walking down a road.  However, I do not remember the brand of coffee.  If any of you remember feel free to remind me.

So my inquiring mind wanted to know what coffee grows on (tree, bush, ground, etc.)?  Anyone!  Because you asked here is the answer.  Coffee is grown on a coffee tree and the coffee is in fact red berries.  For those that have picked berries it kind of reminds me a bit like maybe blue berries.  But not the tree the berries.  The red berries are picked and dried.  Kind of in a nut shell but not really.

You may ask yourself "what does this have to do with Colombia?"
Here is the answer next Saturday 21 February 2015 I am heading to Colombia for the Colombian Travel Mart.  Though I will not be seeing a coffee plants, I will be enjoying their wonderful export!  Should you go to Colombia and wish to visit a coffee farm it can be arranged.  

During my time in Colombia I will be visiting other areas and experiencing various of things.
